The use of KYCnow during the Covid19 pandemic

Fast and secure disbursement with the SCHUFA B2B credit report

Using the KYCnow platform during the Corona crisis, we are able to help banks validate tens of thousands of requests for loans by businesses.

With an integrated solution for validating loan applications, ClariLab and SCHUFA are helping credit institutions to quickly disburse the new KfW fast loan program. It is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises with more than 10 employees as part of the Corona assistance program. For the solution, existing products from the areas of credit reports, insolvency checks, fraud prevention as well as compliance were combined to form a new corporate credit report, the SCHUFA-B2B-Förderkreditauskunft.
The adapted KfW fast loan program is intended to provide small and medium-sized enterprises in particular with fast and unbureaucratic access to KfW loans. KfW – and thus the state – assumes a risk exemption of up to 100 percent for the new fast loans.

Fast validation of application details and protection against fraud
Due to the risk exemption, the issuing bank, which is usually the borrower’s bank or savings bank, no longer has to carry out a traditional risk assessment. However, the granting of credit is still dependent on whether the applicant meets the granting requirements.

  • Insolvency and debtor register check for companies and their legal representatives
  • Existence check of the company (foundation before 01.01.2019)
  • Plausibility check of the HR number and the legal representatives
  • Money laundering check (identification of the beneficial owner)
  • Comprehensive sanction check (company, legal representatives and beneficial owner)

To date, ClariLab and SCHUFA have connected more than 900 banks for KfW and LfA Förderbank Bayern with B2B-Förderkreditauskunft. Fortunately, we can contribute to protect the existence of thousands of businesses and prevent fraud and money laundering. Within the last few weeks, we have been able to give access to the platform to over 12,000 users from banking institutions of all sizes, who now work with it on a daily basis.

Fast and secure application verification with SCHUFA B2B- promotion money information

The SCHUFA B2B-Fördergeldauskunft is specifically tailored to the secure and fast disbursement of the BMWi Bridging Assistance 2020. The aim of the current program is to secure the economic existence of small and medium-sized enterprises and solo self-employed persons who have been particularly affected by the Corona crisis. Companies and organizations from all sectors of the economy are eligible to apply, provided that they do not qualify for the Economic Stabilization Fund and to the extent that they have had to cease all or a significant part of their business activities on a sustained basis as a result of the Corona crisis.

Companies wishing to apply for such assistance must do so through a tax advisor or auditor. They apply for the assistance online on the websites of the granting agencies. By integrating the subsidy information into the application process, the verification obligation for tax consultants is decisively simplified: all master data and information on company and owner identity as well as the necessary sanction check are available at the push of a button.

The check includes in detail:

  • Enrichment of HR number, legal representative (1st management level) / owner and communication data.
  • Insolvency and debtor register check for companies and their legal representatives (1st management level) / owners
  • Existence check of the company (foundation before 01.04.2019)
  • Comprehensive sanction check (company and legal representatives (1st management level) / owner)
  • Verification of whether information on fraudulent behavior is known via the legal representatives (1st management level) / owner (fraud prevention)

Since mid-July, we have connected more than 200 tax advisors and notaries for case checks via DATEV for the B2B subsidy information service, a solution specially tailored to the secure and rapid payment of the BMWi bridging assistance 2020, which is intended to help small and medium-sized enterprises and solo self-employed persons who have been particularly affected by the Corona crisis.
